A Post-Abortion Therapy Group

A safe space where you can process your experience whether it was recent or long ago. . .
This group’s purpose is to provide women with a safe, non-judgmental, and politically neutral space to share, connect, and learn from others who have had a similar experience. With a group of interested women and the guidance of a supportive therapist, group members will have the opportunity to tell experiences and explore feelings through the use of dialogue, drama, and creative therapeutic processes.
About the Facilitator: Tessa Sugarbaker, MD, MFT Intern is a female Obstetrician Gynecologist and a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern. Tessa has worked individually and in groups with women who have experienced many different emotions after an abortion. She is an experienced gynecologist who has been and continues to practice since 2001. Additionally, she has experience working in a private practice therapy setting as well as in an inpatient and outpatient psychiatric setting. Tessa is supervised by Merry Ross, MFT (MFC#37401).
