Living Arts Counseling Center Presents...

A Therapy Group For Children of Divorced Parents

A Six-Week Group for Children in Grades 3 to 5

Are you a divorced or divorcing parent?
Are you concerned about the effect divorce is having on your kids?
Would your children benefit from a group of peers going through the same thing?

Divorce is hard for everyone. Children often worry that they are the only ones whose parents are going through a divorce. Whether your divorce is current, recent or was years ago, your children may need some extra support. Therapy with peers gives children the opportunity to find out that they're not alone and that their feelings are normal. In this safe, therapeutic environment, children will use drama and art therapies to share their experiences. Members of this group will learn to understand their feelings and express them appropriately. They will have the opportunity to develop coping skills to help them through the ongoing challenges of divorce.
