An Evening with Playback Theatre
and Honey Brown Eyes
at SF Playhouse

Friday, October 21st, 8:00 pm

HoneyBrownEyes

Inspired by actual events, Honey Brown Eyes contrasts the everydayness of domestic settings with the ravages of the Bosnian War. Set in two kitchens, the play follows two soldiers that were once in a band together caught on opposite sides of the war - one who has to face the consequences of his own brutality, and another who comes to terms with his own cowardice. Unlikely partnerships emerge in this play of horror, humanity and stunning relevance.

Join us for this special evening of scripted and playback theatre. Directly following the 8:00 pm performance of Honey Brown Eyes at SF Playhouse on Friday, October 21st, Armand Volkas and The Living Arts Playback Theatre Ensemble will give audience members the opportunity to share and process their responses and reflections to this challenging and heart-opening play through playback theatre. Join us for this evening of building bridges of empathy between people and cultures.
