This group will provide a safe and supportive space for deep healing and personal transformation. Participants define their own therapeutic goals while using experiential processes to achieve them. Therapeutic modalities include: Playback theater techniques, psychodrama, mindfulness and talk therapy.
Playback Theatre transforms personal stories into improvised theater pieces using movement, ritual, music and spoken improvisation. Playback Theatre offers opportunity for expression, insight, validation and growth through the enactment of personal stories within the company of supportive others. Playback Theatre also invites healing through the cultivation of spontaneity, creativity, playfulness, empathy and cooperation.
Psychodrama utilizes therapeutic, experiential and embodied methods to explore the hopes, problems or issues raised by an individual or group. Through the use of role-play, enactment and other tools, psychodrama allows for the safe expression of emotion, whilst inviting perspective and insight to emerge. In the dramatic realm, participants are also able to experiment with new roles, behaviors and specific actions that might be taken in the world. By engaging our affective, cognitive, relational and spiritual capacities, psychodrama stimulates innovative responses to internal conflicts and real life dilemmas.
