Improv for Shy People is an on-going drama therapy group. Approximately every 3 months, the group is open to new members.  Participants include a wide spectrum of individuals struggling with shyness, social anxiety, and performance anxiety.

In a supportive environment, you will learn how to affirm all parts of yourself, acknowledge and break through the inner critic, and accept yourself and others. Through moment-to-moment improvisational theatre exercises, you can discover how to surrender your impulses to the perfection of the present moment.

-Increase your comfort with eye contact.

-Enhance spontaneity and confidence.

-Practice risk-taking!

-Learn and try new behaviors in a safe and supportive environment

-Reduce feelings of shame and guilt with exercises in setting limits and claiming your voice.

No previous acting or improvisational theatre experience necessary.
