Playback Theatre is an interactive theatre approach used in over 50 countries as a tool for education, dialogue, conflict transformation and community building.

In a Playback Theatre performance, audience members share thoughts, feelings, memories and personal stories and watch as a team of actors transform these experiences into improvised theater pieces using movement, ritual, music and spoken word.

In this 1-day introductory workshop, participants will learn and practice the basic improvisational performance structures involved in the playback theatre process.  Participants will also gain the opportunity to develop creativity, playfulness, empathy and the capacity for deep listening and teamwork.  No prior acting experience is required.
