A Summer Intensive for Teens
11:00am-2:00pm
Monday-Wednesday
7/18-7/20 & 7/25-7/27
2436 Sacramento Street
$450
Does your teenager avoid homework?
Is s/he not getting the grades you know s/he could?
Do you feel tired of reminding him or her to do homework?
Does your relationship with him or her feel strained because of this?
Chances are your student is bright but lacks what many teens do: motivation. In this workshop, your teenager will get in touch with:
•Motivational blocks
•How lack of motivation impacts relationships with friends and family
•His or her dreams for the future
•His or her intrinsic motivation for doing well in school
Students will build supportive relationships with one another through role-playing, improvisation, and other drama therapy exercises. They will walk away with concrete time-management, goal-setting, and self-motivation skills as well as the tools to earn better grades, have better relationships with you and your family, and reach his or her fullest potential.
Facilitated by Jessica Engle, MA, an experienced tutor and a Marriage Family Therapy Intern at the Living Arts Counseling Center (www.LivingArtsCenter.org). She is supervised by Randy McCommons, MFT #45485, RDT/BCT.
