The Living Arts Counseling Center Presents:
Playback Theatre and Therapeutic Change
Date: Saturday November 14th, 2:30pm – 5:00pm
Venue: 4000 Broadway, Suite #4, Oakland CA 94611
Playback Theatre transforms personal stories into improvised theater pieces using movement, ritual, music and spoken improvisation. It creates community and connection among people by honoring the dignity, drama and universality in their stories. First developed in 1975 by psychodramatist Jonathan Fox, Playback Theatre is now practiced around the world in theatres, schools, psychiatric hospitals, prisons, and the business world.
Playback Theatre offers opportunity for insight, validation and personal growth as our stories are enacted and witnessed in the company of supportive others. Playback Theatre also invites healing through the cultivation of spontaneity, creativity, playfulness, empathy and cooperation.
