Allegra Taiji Lucas, MFT Trainee
(510) 595-5500, Extension 33 As a psychotherapist I create a safe and confidential space to offer you support while engaging with you in your transformative process. I will help you explore your identity and find your personal truth. In therapy, we will expand your ability to feel and express emotions, try on different roles and find the courage to walk through fear. My goal as your therapist will be to create a process that stimulates your growth and nourishes your soul. In our work together I will utilize drama therapy, expressive arts, movement therapy, psychodrama, transpersonal psychology and talk therapy to help you uncover your path to liberation and empowerment. |
I specialize in personal empowerment work with women and have over eight years experience working with children and adolescents. I integrate music, movement, theater and art into my work with clients to improve communication, expand expression and awaken creativity.
I have worked extensively with individuals and families to heal the damaging affects of substance abuse. Other specializations include work with codependency, early recovery, and eating disorders. If you are concerned about or unsure about your relationship to substances or alcohol I am here to guide you through an exploration of what might work best for you.
In my work with trauma survivors I think it is of the utmost importance to help my clients first regain a sense of safety. As therapy continues, together we can develop effective coping skills and work towards reclaiming power over your life again.
As a woman of color my approach is rooted in culturally inclusive therapy.
I am available for appointments in Oakland and in San Francisco.
