Seeing Beyond Stereotypes
Through Action Methods

Join us for a two-evening gathering of diverse cultures to move beyond prejudice and stereotyping and connect with the essence of our common humanity. Exercises will be drawn from intercultural communication, drama therapy, expressive arts therapy, and Playback Theatre. This workshop will be conducted by Liliane C. Koziol, Ph.D. and Armand Volkas, MFT, RDT/BCT. Includes dinner. Free for I-House Residents and members; $30 for the general community.

Through film, images and lecture Nadine Gammache, Cultural Outreach Coordinator of the Arab Cultural Center in San Francisco will increase our awareness and understanding of the Arab culture and differentiate between facts and stereotypes about Arabs and Muslims. Admission for this event is free. Appetizers from Arab cuisine will be served.

Help us celebrate the diversity of beliefs, religions and nations that constitute Arab culture. Join us for an evening of improvisational theatre based on personal and collective stories told by members of the Bay area Arab Community. This event is presented by The Living Arts Playback Theatre Ensemble, Armand Volkas, Director. Free for I-House residents and members; $10 for the general community.
