How I Work
I form an alliance with each individual client, creating a safe, supportive and empathic space in which they can explore and heal. I am experienced in using a variety of therapeutic techniques including talk, behavioral, mindfulness and expressive arts therapies. I work with each client as a whole integrated person, and we may transfer from one modality to another depending on your needs in the moment. We may use a variety of expressive arts modalities*, including visual, movement, sound, journaling, sand tray and drama, in order to enable you to foster release, self-understanding and insight. We might then discuss what has come up for you, it’s meaning in your life and how to proceed. *No artistic or creative ability is necessary.
About Me
I graduated from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, with an M.A. in Expressive Arts Therapies and Mental Health Counseling, and have studied at Harvard University and Massachusetts College of Art. Additional trainings have included Trauma Treatment, Grief Counseling, Sand Tray, Life Coaching, EFT and Reiki. I believe that learning is a lifelong process, and I continue to study and attend workshops related to my field, and to learn from those around me.
I look forward to discussing with you how I might help you on your road to growth and recovery. I feel honored to be a part of each life I touch.
