Cheryl Leong, MA, MFT Intern (Pending Applicant)
is a self taught percussionist and psychotherapist who holds her BA from the University of San Francisco in Psychology and her MA from the California Institute of Integral Studies in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Expressive Arts Therapy. She has also had 8 years of Transactional Analysis training and clinical experience in Asia. She has worked internationally, at a variety of clinical settings, including a psychiatric inpatient facility, school-based counseling settings, family therapy settings and post-trauma settings. She is experienced and skilled in working with depression, anxiety, post-trauma, substance abuse and family-relationship difficulties. Cheryl uses both brief and depth oriented approaches. She also believes in using "best-fit", expressive arts-integrated and systemic perspectives for clients to experience healing or recovery.
